Education: After completion of his studies at ETH Zurich from 1962 to 1966, Mr. Pfister graduated as electrical and production engineer. In 1969 he obtained an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau.
Professional activity: In 1967, Mr. Pfister worked as an analyst/programmer at Sodeco in Geneva and in 1968 as a production engineer at Pickerings in Stockton-on-Tees (UK). From 1970 there were various employments at Ciba-Geigy/Novartis (1971 as trainee in Summit [NJ, USA], from 1972 to 1974 in planning in Vienna, 1975 in planning in Göteborg, from 1976 to 1983 as Head of the Pharma Division in Athens, from 1984 to 1990 as Head of Ciba Vision Europe in Aschaffenburg, from 1991 to 1993 as Head of Planning and Control in the Pharmaceutical Division in Basel, from 1994 until his retirement in mid-2006 as Head Pension Fund/Real Estate in Basel).
In addition to his mandate at PSP Swiss Property Ltd, Mr. Pfister did not hold, as at 31 December 2007, any other directorships which are subject to disclosure. The mandates held at the PSP subsidiaries PSP Real Estate Ltd, PSP Management Ltd, PSP Properties Ltd and PSP Group Services Ltd ceased in March 2007.
